Sand bag stations in Harrison County

With the possibility of up to eight inches of rain in Harrison County through Monday, the chance of flooding in flood-prone areas has increased.

To help with flooding, self-serve sandbag stations are being made available to the public. The locations for the sandbag locations have been released.

Officials say that you should have your emergency plan ready at all times. Harrison County EMA Director Rupert Lacy said, “You know this is a time to revisit the plan, make sure your plan is current and active and start to do some of those necessary things and get those items you may need once a system comes through or we get a tremendous, terrible thunderstorm that you can do without power for a couple of hours or power for a day or two.”
