Salvation Army kicked off their Red Kettle Campaign this weekend
The Salvation Army kicked off their Red Kettle Campaign at Edgewater Mall in Biloxi this weekend.
They dressed up in costumes and took pictures with kids to get the community involved.
By grabbing your attention, they hope to inform about their Red Kettle Campaign and new ways to donate online.
The holidays are right around the corner and they are fundraising so someone in need can also enjoy their Christmas this year. Marketing Association Carlos Juarez said, “Mississippians to feel inspired and feel that the Salvation Army is doing the most good and give them a sense of hope, by providing them a space to come out and just get away from everything else and just have fun, I think brings a little bit of happiness.”
Director of Mississippi Coast Command Jillian Rodriguez said, “The need is greater this year and so we are rescuing Christmas for those who maybe cannot afford it. They don’t have housing, they don’t have a place to stay or a warm meal to go home to, pull it all in so everybody can have a nice happy Christmas.”
You can help out and be on the lookout for the bell ringers and red kettles all around the Gulf Coast.
