Salvation Army Family Store to reopen Thursday
The Salvation Army is reengaging active public services after having to shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Salvation Army is reopening their family stores in Gulfport and Lucedale Thursday.
These stores are not only a great way to find a good deal on many items, the family stores are another resource by which the Salvation Army assists the community.
Proceeds from the stores go to support local social services. Salvation Army Major Bradley Caldwell said, “The family store for the Salvation Army is an income stream that helps our other more service oriented programs like the shower and laundry and our breakfast fellowship with the homeless here in Gulfport. Those dollars from the Family Store work to pay for the utilities, staffing, and resources that we give to the guests who come here.”
The Gulfport Family Store will be open May 7th through 9th and May 14th through 16th from 10 a.m. 4 p.m.
The Lucedale store will be open from May 7th through the 9th and the 14th through the 16th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
