Sale benefiting Puerto Rico

Get your hands on some great deals all while helping the victims still reeling from the devastation in Puerto Rico.
Tomorrow you can find everything from home décor, toys and gowns to sports and leisure items and more in a giant garage sale at Trinity United Methodist Church in Gulfport.
The church is sending a group on a mission trip to help Puerto Rico victims in June. All proceeds from the garage sale will go toward getting a team of 23 to Puerto Rico to help with recovery efforts.
News 25 spoke to Nancy Pittman, the chairman of the mission, who tells us how they chose Puerto Rico. “We were discussing in the fall where we might go. We had several options and this was about three weeks after the hurricane. Our pastor said Puerto Rico needs us and we said right! So, we were able to connect with a group that was already lining teams up and it was the empathy for what we had been through and knowing what they’re going through.”
Pittman says so far their sales have exceeded their expectations. To donate for their mission trip you can visit trinityumc.com.
