Saints’ Michael Thomas breaks NFL records
Perhaps the lone bright spot from Sunday’s loss was a banner day from Wide Receiver Mike Thomas.
The league’s second highest paid wideout hauled in 13 receptions for 152, helping him surpass a pair of previous marks set by a pair of former LSU Tigers.
His sixth reception of the game was the 400th of his career, reaching that plateau in just 56 games, five games faster than Odell Beckham Jr.
With his 401st catch, Thomas broke Jarvis Landry’s record for the most catches in a player’s first four NFL seasons.
Thomas now has 81 receptions on the year, putting him on pace to break Marvin Harrison’s 2002 record of 143.
He also leads the league with 1,027 yards.
