Ryan’s Stormy Thursday Re-cap

It ended up being quite an interesting, stormy Thursday night in South Mississippi this evening. Right around 4:30, we started to see severe thunderstorm warnings popping up in Northern Harrison County. Within minutes, a tornado warning was issued as clear rotation was apparent on radar. An official tornado report was issued for the city of Lyman in Harrison county at 4:47, damaging a house but thankfully no injuries were reported. Things cleared up right around 8:30 with the last of the storm line pushing out of Jackson Co. We will have more showers with isolated thunderstorms expected tomorrow, along with a marginal risk of severe weather. We’ll see the cloudy, rainy conditions continue into Saturday where well will finally begin to see some clearing. Good timing too, since Spring officially starts Saturday night at 11:30, so we’ll start off Spring and next week with pleasant, sunny conditions.
