Ryan’s “Foggy Christmas Eve” Forecast

Santa will certainly need Rudolph tonight on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The worst of the showers has moved further northward, and although we are still getting isolated showers and an occasional thunderstorm, the biggest current weather issue is dense fog. A dense fog advisory was issued earlier for all coastal counties and the fog should linger into tomorrow afternoon. It won’t be until around Sunday night or Monday morning that a new frontal boundary will move through, clearing out all this moisture, so until then expect the fog to return nightly. Christmas day (Friday) will remain overcast and warm, near 75, but showers will be considerably less widespread and weaker. Expect a slight chance of rain to remain for the weekend.
