Ryan’s “Dangerously Hot Thursday” Forecast

It has been a very hot Thursday afternoon so far with heat advisories being issued for much of South Mississippi through tonight and into tomorrow evening. You can expect a mostly clear, hot, and humid evening with light Westerly winds tonight, andheat index values near and above 105 tomorrow. If possible, limit outdoor exposure, be sure to remain hydrated, and protect yourself direct sunlight if you must be outside. Rain chances, cloud cover, and heat will be the story of the weekend, with temperatures in the mid to upper 90s and a 30% chance of afternoon t-storms. This is all due to a weak, slow moving front which will push through the area Friday night through Saturday. We’ll see some slight cooling and clearing as we move through Sunday and start next week. Temperatures will drop into the mid 80s to start with but will gradually return to the low 90s. I know today is hot, but the “official” start of Summer is Monday so we’re just getting started…
