Ryan’s “Cold” Friday Forecast

It’s only a week away from Christmas and it is finally cold. Due to maximum radiational cooling, we will see inland temperatures dip into the upper 20s, while coastal temperatures will remain in the low to mid 30s. Residents of Pearl River, Stone, and George Counties are encouraged to take precautions against freezing pipes and to pay outside pets extra attention (or just bring them in if you can). Saturday will be a particularly nice day, with a daytime high near 59 along the waterfront while inland areas will be slightly warmer. Weather remains nice through the weekend but clouds begin to increase ahead of a new frontal system which increases instability in the area, leading to showers and thunderstorms Monday night through Wednesday, but things begin to clear up around Christmas Eve…where we can expect highs returning to the low 70s.
