Ron Swoboda Visits Biloxi

Former Major League Baseball player and member of the “Miracle Mets” team Ron Swoboda stopped in Biloxi today.
Swoboda was the guest speaker at the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art’s “Our Love Affair with Baseball” all-star luncheon.
Best known for a diving catch in the 1969 World Series, Swoboda shared stories of his experiences as a player and his career as a sportscaster before taking time to talk with News 25 about his great moment in sports history. “As humans, we’re leaving footprints in the sand and they get washed away pretty quickly, but if you’re lucky enough to do something like that, it’s a little more permanent ‘cause as a big leaguer you’re always in the books and always in the records. You’re lucky for that.”
WXXV is a proud sponsor of the “Our Love Affair with Baseball” weekly luncheon.
