Ron Polk returning to Mississippi State as special assistant to the athletic director

Back in Starkville a Mississippi State legend is returning to the Bulldog family.

On Wednesday, Ron Polk was named special assistant to the athletic director, that being John Cohen, in a move that brings the winningest coach in the history of the Southeastern Conference back to MSU.

Polk led the State baseball program for a total of 29 years, amassing more than 1,300 career wins across four head coaching stints with three different programs.

He spent the last 12 years as a volunteer assistant at UAB.
