Rod Stokes saved in battle round on “The Voice”
Rod Stokes moves to the next round on season 16 of ‘The Voice.’
During Monday night’s battle round, Stokes went head-to-head with teammate Gyth Rigdon. The two sang a duet to Mitchell Tenpenny’s “Drunk Me.”
At the end of the battle, Gyth was selected by Coach Blake Shelton to stay on the team and Stokes was faced with going home. In the last second, Stokes was stolen by Team Adam.
Stokes will go on to the knockout round. “It’s incredible. It feels great, I’m really blown away by it. I think I’m above the clouds right now to be honest with you. It’s surreal, I’m just a simple country boy from South Mississippi, born and raised in Moss Point, I think I’ve watched it four times.”
