Robot teaches at Popps Ferry Elementary

Students at Popps Ferry Elementary School got a visit from a unique high-tech friend today.

Pepper helps get kids involved with STEM, technology, and coding strategies. Pepper answers live questions in real time and even had a dance party with the students.

Pepper was brought to the school by C-Spire. They started introducing pepper and their other three robots to schools in the state last year. This is part of their tech movement. C-Spire Lucedale Market Manager Randy Wien said, “It goes a lot further than Pepper. Whenever it comes to computer programming, coding, just anything that involves technology, we are investing in the next generation because we want to change the culture of the state of Mississippi to become more technology minded.”

Pepper was made in France and costs a whopping $25,000!
