Retailers Expect Lots of Shoppers This Weekend Before Xmas

Typically, Black Friday is known as the busiest shopping day of the year, but retailers say the Saturday before Christmas gives it some stiff competition.

That means this weekend, many stores will be filled with last minute shoppers rushing to the stores to find the right gifts. With only six days left until Christmas, most retailers also offer last minute deals, trying to attract customers. News 25 caught up with some of them at the Gulfport Premium Outlets who are trying to avoid Saturday’s crowds.

Pam Webber, a shopper, says, "It’s going good, trying to get a little last minute shopping done, trying to get it done early while there’s still something out there to shop from."

The Gulfport Premium Outlets will be open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and if you still haven’t gotten a chance to finish up your holiday shopping by next week, they will be open on Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
