The Results Are In: Moss Point Native Advances in NBC’s “The Voice”

The results are in! Moss Point native Rod Stokes made the cut last night on NBC’s “The Voice.” Stokes, a Moss Point native who now lives in Grand Bay, Alabama, took to the national stage Monday night, one of 24 contestants hoping to make that round of cuts. And he did.  Tuesday night, host Carson Daly put Stokes’s fears at ease, and announced he was one of the 13 who would make it to the next round of the competition. Out of the 24 contestants who took to the stage Monday night, almost half were cut in this round – 13, including Stokes, are still standing. The live viewing audience certainly had a say, sending 8 of the 13 remaining contestants through with their live voting results. five of the 13 contestants will be cut in next Monday night’s competition.
