Respect the Military Golf Tournament

This weekend, you can tee off on the course and raise money to help veterans at the same time.
Crusaders for Veterans is holding their second annual Respect the Military Golf Tournament. The tournament will take place this Saturday from 7 until 1 at Whispering Pines in Hurley. Four person teams can register at $65 per person or $50 with a valid military ID.
Money from fundraisers like this one allows Crusaders to help struggling veterans like the one they helped move just last week. Crusaders for Veterans President Kevin Cuttill said, “He was suffering from colon cancer and we had to move him closer to the VA. Those services aren’t just available so we come out and help them and move them. You just can’t explain. That’s why we do it. We’re 100 percent volunteers. No one gets a paycheck, gas mileage or anything. We do it because of that.”
