Residents celebrate at the Hibernia Marching Society St. Patrick’s Day Parade

There was a sea of green in Downtown Biloxi celebrating Irish Heritage on the Gulf Coast this weekend.

People of all nationalities came out to support the Hibernia Marching Society’s annual St. Patrick Day Parade Saturday.

The celebration featured close to 80 units, including a horse and carriage, bag pipers, Jeeps, and more.

For Haley Schultz, she says it was a great time celebrating her Irish heritage. “I think their energy and their endurance and their ability to power through any type of struggle, I think it’s all Irish people have that in and of themselves and it’s wonderful.”

This year’s Grand Marshal and Collen were Charles Nannery of Ocean Springs and Stacy McGuire Thunelius of Biloxi.
