Report: SEC set to vote on when student-athletes return on May 22nd

As many fans eagerly await the fate of college football amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, there’s an important decision pending from Southeastern Conference school presidents.

NBCSports.com is reporting that on May 22nd those universities will vote on giving student-athletes the greenlight to return to campus on either June 1st or the 15th.

The SEC has suspended all athletic activities including spring football practice through the end of May.

LSU football coaches were some of the first to return to their practice facilities last Monday and Tigers Head Coach Ed Orgeron says “Hopefully we’re about to move forward in the next couple of weeks.”
