Remembering Senator Cochran’s Ties to our Coast
The Cochran name will continue to live on.
You probably remember Senator Cochran visited our Coast quite frequently before his health began to decline in the past few years.
Here’s a look back at one of those visits as he and his wife Kay watched proudly as her initials were welded onto a keel plate of a U.S. Coast Guard ship at Ingalls in Pascagoula back in 2016.
The senator stood next to his wife, who sponsored the “Kimball,” Ingalls’ seventh U.S. Coast Guard National Security Cutter.
Senator Cochran is survived by his wife Kay and two children.
