Registered nurse recruitment event at Garden Park Medical Center

The need for nurses across the country is creeping closer and closer to a crisis.
Recent reports show the demand for nurses is outpacing the supply, even though it is one of the fastest growing occupations nationwide.
Garden Park Medical officials in Gulfport hope to solve that problem locally by hosting recruitment events both on and off site.
Dozens of individuals interested in becoming a registered nurse stopped by the hospital this afternoon to ask questions, drop off resumes, and mingle with current staff members during a happy hour event. Garden Park Medical Center CEO Randy Rogers said, “It shows the community that we value the most important resource and that is human capital, so the people. They really define our organization. We’re a small community hospital. We do a lot of great things for the community. We won’t exist tomorrow if we don’t continually recruit and get the best talent.”
Garden Park also offers the Starn Program, which is a 13 week educational opportunity designed to provide intense post-graduate training to newly licensed nurses.
