#ReadAcrossAmericaDay celebrates Dr. Seuss’ birthday

It’s #ReadAcrossAmericaDay. March 2nd celebrates Dr. Seuss’ birthday, encouraging reading and literacy to everyone.

The well-known author and illustrator created timeless children’s books, now shared by many generations of young readers.

Barnes and Noble is offering buy one, get one 50 percent off on all Dr. Seuss books until March 4th.  Barnes and Noble Book Seller Chelsea Dean said, “Dr. Seuss is one of those authors that everyone knows about, inspires a lot of imagination. He’s kind of like the pinnacle of our book section here for kids. Green Eggs and Ham, definitely my absolute all-time favorite to the point where my parents cooked me green eggs and ham. It was something me and my parents could bond over because that was my mom’s favorite book when she was a child.”

Dr. Seuss wrote and illustrated more than 60 books.
