Reaching out to Hispanic Business Owners

The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is reaching out to the growing Hispanic population by offering a new way for Hispanic business owners to grow their business.
Coffee with the Chamber is a new group that reaches out to Hispanic business owners in the community. This event is the first of many geared toward Hispanic leaders that offers networking opportunities and resources that could help grow and enhance businesses.
Local business owner Lazaro Rovira tells News 25 he’s excited to get involved and hopes this new group will help get more Hispanic owned businesses on the map. “We have a lot of Hispanic businesses around here. A lot of people don’t know that we’re here. I think the chamber trying to put Hispanic businesses together so we can all help each other and get our name out there, I think that’s a great thing and I support them 100 percent.”
Anna Slepova with the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce said, “We just basically wanted to show them that we’re here for them and they can come here and if we don’t know the answers for them, we can find somebody who can help them as well.”
