Public ice skating begins

The Coast Coliseum has been transformed into a winter wonderland.
All you need to do is pay $12 for a night of fun at public ice skating sessions at the Coast Coliseum in Biloxi. The ice skating season started earlier than usual this year since Disney on Ice’s early show arrival at the coliseum last weekend. That show is over, but now you, your family, and friends can take a spin of your own.
While skating is open to the public, you can also sign up for ice skating lessons or get your kids going with youth hockey lessons. Youth Hockey Coach Rod Davidson said, “It’s terrific. We started last evening with our youth program. It runs through early January. We had 40 kids on the ice, about ten coaches. Tonight we switch over to public skating. We have two sessions tonight, Saturday and Sunday. There’s adult hockey here on Wednesday evenings and Sundays.”
Cost for ice skating sessions is $12 and that includes the price of your skates. Sessions are Fridays and Saturdays at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. There will also be week day sessions during student holiday breaks. Ice skating will be open to the public until January 5th.
