Project Search holds graduation ceremony for class of 2023 interns

Singing River Health System in Ocean Springs had the graduation ceremony for their 2023 Project Search class interns this afternoon.

‘Project Search’ is the first ever Mississippi Gulf Coast business led collaboration between Singing River Health System, Ocean Springs, and Pascagoula Gautier School Districts and the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services.

‘Project Search’ enables young adults with disabilities to gain and maintain employment through training and career exploration.

After their nine course of study, all interns graduating have either been hired by Singing River Health System or by Morrisons, a partner of Singing River Health System. Project Search Instructor Lee Worsham said, “We are looking to change lives and Project Search does just that. We’re enabling them to build a career for themselves. Students with special abilities are trained to go out and take the next step and it’s a wrap around service with people beside them all along the way. So, we’re transforming lives.”
