Progress continues on Long Beach gateway project

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- A new month means a new update from Long Beach city leaders on the progress of the gateway project along Highway 90.

In the month of May, the installation of public showers near the beach has progressed, as well as tile-work on the gateway tower.

Landscaping crews are currently onsite installing irrigation systems and landscaping elements throughout the project area.

 Work on the entire project is still expected to be done by early 2027.
