It’s Primary Election Day! Here’s What You Need to Know

It’s a day of decision for voters throughout our state as the primary election gets under way in Mississippi.

Polls open at 7 am and if you plan to vote, here are a few things to keep in mind.

Polls are open until closing time at 7 pm.

You must bring an official ID with you to vote.

You’re also encouraged to check your voter registration cards and precinct information before heading to the polls.

In person absentee voting ended at noon on Saturday, and mail-in absentee ballots had to be received by the circuit clerk’s offices by 5 p.m. yesterday.
