Preparing for the runoff election

It’s the final countdown with the runoff election just days away.

Voters throughout the state will be heading to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots in the runoff. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. You will need a valid form of ID to cast your vote.

All eyes are on the Republican runoff for governor. Only one of the two candidates in the gubernatorial race, current Lt. Governor Tate Reeves or retired state Supreme Court Justice Bill Waller Jr., will represent the party in the November 5th General Election.

Both failed to get more than 50 percent of the primary vote earlier this month, but managed to edge out candidate Robert Foster.
