Preparing for the National Convention

A group of Harrison County Republicans are preparing to head to a national convention.
The Harrison County Republican Executive Committee met at the Gulfport Yacht Club to talk about the 2016 National Republican Convention. The four day convention is being held in Cleveland, Ohio next week.
Three Harrison County members are going, two delegates and an alternate delegate.
National Convention officials are expecting over 50,000 people to attend from all over the nation.
Frank Genzer is going to the convention as an alternative. He said, “I’m just excited about going. I’m anxious. There are many, many speakers from all across the country that will be there over the four days of the conference.”
Wayne Tisdale is one of the delegates going to the convention. He said, “The hope is that we can get all the Republicans to unite. That’s the biggest concern of the convention.”
The group tells News 25 they are currently looking for a place to serve as their headquarters.
