Preparing for the General Election

With the General Election taking place next week, final preparations are in the works before the big day on November 5th.

Folks over at the Harrison County Circuit Clerk’s Office are gearing up by prepping laptops for Election Day. Plus, election commissioners have already conducted worker training earlier this month.

Harrison County Circuit Clerk Connie Ladner tells News 25 absentee voting has picked up over the past few weeks. She hopes this means there will be a great turn out next Tuesday. “Lots of offices, statewide offices that we need to focus on, as well as county offices. We will be having new leaders in that role. So, as you said, it is a very important election and we encourage everyone to get out and vote.”

The deadline for absentee voting is this Saturday, November 2nd at noon. The Harrison County Circuit Clerk’s Office will open at 8 a.m.
