Premiere Lux nears opening date

A brand new movie theater is about to open its doors in Biloxi.

The Premiere Lux Movie Theater at Edgewater Mall is a state of the art facility and is scheduled to show its first movie in two weeks.

The Premiere Lux has all the bells and whistles, including reclining chairs with a retractable table. There is a pizza pub, as well as a full bar with about eight beers on tap.

This is the first movie theater south of Interstate 10 in Harrison County since Hurricane Katrina. Edgewater Mall General Manager Terry Powell said, “There are eight theaters. One at 156 capacity, 112 capacity, and the rest are at 100 capacity. If you buy popcorn or buy drinks there is a self-serve bar where you go back and free refills and the chairs are so comfortable.”

Premiere Lux is located where the old Sears used to be at the Edgewater Mall in Biloxi.
