Preliminary Details on Fatal Flight

New information has been released about last week’s plane crash in Jackson County that killed all three people on board.
Preliminary information from the National Transportation Safety Board reveals the Lancair plane was an experimental, “amateur-built aircraft.” It also specifies the time and length of the flight.
According to the report, the airplane was owned by the pilot and based out of Monroe, Louisiana. Earlier in the day, the pilot flew to Ruston, Louisiana to pick up one passenger before flying into the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport for the second passenger.
On October 26th about 12:20 p.m., the plane departed from Gulfport before crashing into the Mississippi Sound near Pascagoula about 12:37.
