Governor Reeves requests waiver for healthier purchases with SNAP

JACKSON, Miss. (WXXV)- Governor Tate Reeves has requested a waiver on the ban of unhealthy foods using SNAP benefits. If Reeves’ request is approved by the USDA, processed foods and beverages that list sugar, cane sugar, or corn syrup as the first two ingredients will be prohibited for purchase using SNAP benefits.
