Mississippi Highway Patrol concludes Labor Day travel period

Mississippi Highway Patrol concluded the Labor Day travel period Monday at midnight. The enforcement period began on Friday at 6 a.m. MHP issued a total of 10,026 citations, arrested 270 for impaired driving, and 1,089 drivers for seat belt violations. Fatal crash on Highway 613 in George County
