Possible Threat at Gautier Middle School

Gautier Middle School students evacuated the building this morning after the school received an anonymous threatening call.
School officials do not believe the threat to be credible.
Students on campus were secured as a precautionary measure, and parents arrived on campus waiting to pick up their children.
Parents received an automated voice call informing them of the threat, but some are still frustrated with how it was handled.
Mother, Troylynn Harvey says, “It’s very frustrating, like I said seven thirty they said it happened. I dropped my daughter and a rider off at 7:45. A teacher or somebody should’ve been out to the drop off point and said ‘hey take your kids home and come back later’. I know its exams, but this is not right. A whole hour later this is not right. I’m not knocking the school, but y’all going to have to do better when it comes to stuff like this with peoples kids.”
Classes resumed at 9:40 am.
Gautier police say the nature of the threat is unknown.
