Popp’s Ferry Causeway Park

A project that has been in the marking for 32 years, the Popp’s Ferry Causeway Park, is now close to being finished.
The original completion date for the park, located west of the Popp’s Ferry Bridge, was April 1st. However, contractors have pushed the date back 30 days due to weather conditions. Many people are already using the new pier and boardwalk.
Biloxi local Henry King has been casting his fishing rod near the park for over four years now and he tells News 25 he is looking forward to what the park will do for the area. “I think it’s going to be wonderful. It will be a great place for people to come and walk and enjoy, like family. They don’t have to worry about traffic because you have access to different portions of the bay. The fishing is wonderful back here. I love fishing down here. You have a variety of fish. You got drum, croakers, red fish, everything comes down through here.”
When the park is completed there will be a boat launch and a place to rent kayaks.
