Pop Brothers Fundraiser to Help Teen

Classmates of a local high school football player struggling with a debilitating illness have been raising money to help cover his medical expenses. Today, a local business also chipped in.
Pop Brothers in downtown Gulfport is donating half of its sales today to Gulfport High student Donny Faerber, a football player who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. His classmates have been raising money to help with his medical expenses and now this local business has decided to join in to help the cause.
Pop Brothers Co-owner Octavio Arzola said, “We are a place where all the kids come after school and they were bringing to us the situation of Donny and we just felt compelled to help. We’ve been working with the school, the city. The city has been tremendously supportive to our adventure today and we just try to give as much as we can to Donny.”
Pop Brothers is located on 25th Avenue in Gulfport right on the train tracks.[mappress mapid=”2151″]
