Police Searching for Stabbing Suspect in Moss Point

Early this morning, a Moss Point woman returned to her home facing a man threatening her with a knife and demanding money.
Police say the woman was stabbed three times but was able to fight off her attacker and drive herself to Singing River Hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is still on the loose. He is described as a black male about 5’6” wearing reading glasses and all black clothing. The victim’s mother, Brenda Spivey, said, “I was scared right here in the yard, right here in her yard. She was at home. Never happens here, I’ve been here five years and we’ve never had a problem like this. They really need to find this person because he’s dangerous. Whoever did this is dangerous.”
