Police Save Two Lives, Arrest Arson Suspect

One person arrested and charged with arson. All thanks to the Gulfport Police Department. Gulfport police responded to a call around 10:15 Tuesday night of a burglary in progress. When two patrolmen arrived to the house on the corner of bridge and Spring Street they saw intense flames. They kicked the front door to three people inside the house as it erupted in to flames. Officer Cameron Hale tells News 25, “That’s all we’re worried about I understand property is property but lives matter a whole lot more than property, property can be replaced, lives cannot.” Officer Jeff Radix tells News 25, “It was one of those nights where you’re kind of just riding around not expecting anything major especially in the middle of the week and then something like this happens, and it’s quite exhilarating.” 21 year old Kyle Ladner of Gulfport has been arrested and charged with arson in connection with the house fire. He is at the Harrison County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.
