Police fundraiser for American Heart Association
Biloxi Police Department spent the morning cooking up some good food for a good cause.
This morning, the Biloxi Police Department served red beans and rice, rolls, and salad at the Biloxi Lighthouse Pavilion as part of a fundraiser for the American Heart Association. Plates cost $7 each.
The Biloxi Police Department holds fundraising activities to help the American Heart Association each year. Officer Joey Payne said, “We are part of the Heart Association and help fundraise because everybody has been touched by some kind of heart disease. So, we come out and every department in the city volunteers and does some fundraiser because we want to help the Heart Association do research to try to prevent heart disease.”
