Police Department Kicks Off Academy

Starting today, the D’Iberville Police Department will kick off their second Citizen’s Police Academy.
D’Iberville residents will be exposed to several aspects of law enforcement including K-9, criminal investigations, patrol, and DUI.
The mission of the academy is to bridge the gap between the community and police and hopefully debunk myths about law enforcement.
Officers with the department tell News 25, both the police and citizens benefit from these interactions.
