‘Play for Bray’ Benefit Golf Tournament taking place at Bridges Golf Club at Hollywood Casino
To help raise money for Brayden Peterson and his family, a golf tournament benefit will be held at Bridges Golf Club at Hollywood Casino tomorrow from 8 a.m. until noon.
Brayden Peterson is a freshman at Hancock High School. On December 12th, 2021, Brayden experienced a medical emergency during the Diamondhead Christmas Parade that left him unresponsive for several minutes.
Brayden was initially transported to a local hospital and later flown to children’s hospital in New Orleans.
Although Brayden has returned home, he now needs long-term medical care due to his brain injury. Hancock County District 3 Supervisor Kodie Koenenn said, “The community has rallied. We have come together and just try to help the family, help Brayden, financially so that he can have a great chance and just focus on recovering. His mother can just focus on the recovery for Brayden as well.”
A golf cart raffle will also be set up. Guests can purchase a raffle ticket for $20 or six tickets for $100. The winner of the golf cart will be announced on Gulf Coast Golf Carts Facebook page on February 16th. Those interested in donating can contact Kodie Koenenn at 228-261-0070.
