Pink Pearls to Save the Girls

‘Pink Pearls to Save the Girls’ Fashion Show is back for its fourth year at the Scarlet Pearl Casino.

The Scarlet Pearl partnered with the Susan G. Komen Foundation to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research.

Sixteen models who survived or honoring someone who passed away from the disease will strut their stuff up and down the runway.

Saturday’s event features a silent auction and clothing designs from Dillard’s and our very own Toni Miles as the mistress of ceremony.

Organizers and participants say this is an empowering and must see event. ‘Pink Pearls to Save the Girls Survivor of the Year’ Pamela Killingsworth said, “It makes their experience a little bit more easy to come out of because it takes a lot of strength and a lot of power and a lot of people supporting you.”

Scarlet Pearl Promotions, Events, and Entertainment Director Vickie Haskins said, “It’s just such a dedicated fashion show for breast cancer survivors and to contribute to our local community and Susan G. Komen. We go out into the community and we ask for sponsorships, silent auction items, we have beautiful silent auction items here. We have to raise a lot of money for this just worthwhile cause.”

Doors open at 7 p.m. To purchase tickets visit, go to Strand event center and click on the ‘Pink Pearls Saves the Girls’ tab to do so.
