Pink Heart Funds Benefit

In the midst of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, one woman wanted to give back to a local charity for cancer patients.
Kellye Wenhofer was diagnosed with breast cancer in May and the ladies at the Pink Heart Funds non-profit organization gave her a wig free of charge. Tonight she wanted to give back to the organization, so she gathered other Mary Kay consultants and ladies in the community to raise awareness for breast cancer and also raise money for Pink Hearts Fund.
There were raffles, silent auctions, bingo and even a speech from the founder of Pink Heart Funds JoAn Niceley.
“We wanted to really focus on someone local and so we had an opportunity back in May,” said Wenhofer, “I was actually diagnosed with breast cancer in May of 2015 and we had an opportunity and my director said ‘let’s go try on some wigs’ and I wasn’t really into it at the time but we went over there and we just say what an awesome foundation they have and what they’re going for the local community.”
Pink Hear Funds donates wigs to cancer patients free of charge. They also provided free breast prosthetics and post-mastectomy bras, as well as give support and advice to cancer patients.
