“Pick” Your Savings at H.S.S.M.’s “Pumpkin Patch” This October

All October long, the Humane Society of South Mississippi (H.S.S.M.) is carving down adoption fees for lucky new pet parents. H.S.S.M. will host a “pumpkin patch” where each adopter will have the chance to “pick” a pumpkin to reveal their savings—each pumpkin is marked with savings from 10% off the original adoption fee to a completely free adoption. H.S.S.M. aims to adopt out 300 animals during this “Pick A Pet. Pick A Pumpkin. Save.” Promotion throughout October.

“H.S.S.M. plays home to over 300 homeless and lost pets every day,” said Tara High, H.S.S.M. Executive Director, “And although we pride ourselves in providing high-quality care, nothing can compare to a real home for these pets. We hope that our ‘pumpkin patch’ will help more pets find their forever homes this October,”

All October long, H.S.S.M. is offering reduced adoption fees on all animals, based on the adopters’ selection of a pumpkin from H.S.S.M.’s “Pumpkin Patch.” Each pumpkin will be marked to show the savings the adopter is entitled to, ranging from 10% off the original adoption fee to completely waiving the adoption fee.

As usual, all adoptions include:

-Your new pet
-Spay /Neuter
-Up-to-date Vaccinations
-Microchip & engraved ID tag
-Free vet exam within 7 days of adoption
-Gift of 30 days ShelterCare pet health insurance
-FREE starter bag of Hill’s Science Diet food
-10% OFF entire purchase in the Bow Wow Meow Boutique
-A lifetime of unconditional love!

This special is integral to H.S.S.M.’s efforts to continue saving more lives in our community. H.S.S.M. aims to find homes for 300 pets in order to break last year’s October adoption number of 288. Continuing to increase the number of lives saved year over year is crucial in increasing the Live Release Rate (percentage of pets saved compared to the total number cared for) in any shelter. H.S.S.M. is committed to continually increasing our Live Release Rate and ending unnecessary euthanasia of pets in our community.
