Petition Started To Change Biloxi High Mascot

Biloxi High School has been asked to change its Indians mascot after the band marched in D.C.’s Cherry Blossom Festival earlier this month.
The students wore Native American headdresses during their performance.
The headdresses caught the attention of the Indian County Today Media Network.
The network says the costumes ingrain disrespect among students.
A change.org petition is asking the school to change its mascot and a counter petition is asking to keep the same name.
