Pedestrian killed after being struck by train in Long Beach

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Long Beach on Thursday morning.

The Long Beach Police Department says the incident happened about 8:15 a.m. near the Jeff Davis Avenue crossing.

Police say they are still investigating and are waiting to confirm the deceased’s identity and notify next of kin.

The train began moving again just after 10 a.m.
