Pedestrian killed in Gulfport

A woman is dead after an early morning accident in the area of Highway 49 and Landon Road.
Gulfport police responded to the single vehicle accident around 5 this morning. A Toyota pickup truck struck the 44-year-old woman. Gulfport police are investigating the crash.
The identity of the female is being withheld pending notification of family. No criminal charges were made.
