The Pass Market takes place on Saturdays

Saturday mornings in Pass Christian are reserved for the Pass Market.

Every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. farmers and artists set up the shop at War Memorial Park along Scenic Drive overlooking the Gulf.

Anything from vegetables to granola to wooden swings to art is available to purchase.

While the market normally operates year round, the weekly event was canceled for about a month due to the pandemic.

To ensure that the market is able to continue operating, the market advisory committee requires all vendors to socially distance from one another and to wear a mask whenever a customer is near. Market Advisory Committee Member Gloria M. Reimherr said, “It’s very important especially now because so many of the activities that are usually going on on the Coast have not reopened and may not reopen for a while. And this is a market where we have fresh vegetables. We also have arts and crafts. And we have non-profits that can come out. And we do not charge anything. There is an application process, but once that’s completed, and you don’t have to come every week. You can just come as you’re able.”
