Pascagoula Utility Rates

If you are a resident in Pascagoula, you will soon see an increase on your sewer bill.
According to Council woman at large Brenda Simpkins, this is not something the city wants to put on their residents but it’s a move they must make in order to cover the costs of the city’s utility bill.
In the past three years, the Jackson County Utility Authority has increased the city’s bill by nearly 97 percent. It has also affected the other Jackson County cities and each are hoping to find a way to make the increase in sewer rates stop.
For now, residential customers in Pascagoula will see an increase from a $6 flat fee to a nearly $13 flat fee for their sewer.
