Pascagoula students fail breathalyzer on way to prom
A group of high school seniors Saturday night didn’t get to enjoy prom after failing breathalyzer tests.
Police were called to the Hilton Garden Inn in Pascagoula Saturday night. Fifteen students failed the breathalyzer. One of the students, an 18-year-old who police say was under the influence, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and malicious mischief.
Lieutenant Doug Adams with the Pascagoula Police Department says that student caused about $100 worth of damage, acting up in the back seat of the police car.
The driver, 70-year-old Joseph Wilson, was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of minors.
Parents of the students were called to come pick up their kids and all students made it home safe. Four additional students passed the breathalyzer.
